With an expansive 228 square metres and a soaring 4.2-metre ceiling, this dedicated pre-function area provides an adaptable setting for everything from welcome receptions and refreshment breaks to brand showcases and guest interactions, adding a distinctive touch of sophistication to your grand occasion.
Our contemporary function rooms are thoughtfully designed to meet the demands of modern business. With flexible layouts accommodating up to 100 guests in a theatre setup, state-of-the-art audio-visual technology, and high-speed internet, each space ensures a seamless experience for conferences, training sessions, or executive meetings. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the rooms with natural light, while dynamic city views inspire productivity and creativity.
Located on the 5th floor, our elegant VIP Greeting Room spans 37 square meters and features understated leather sofas that exude a sense of business prestige, while a vibrant yellow carpet adds a touch of brightness and warmth, and floor-to-ceiling windows offer guests sweeping views of the city's energetic skyline.

Amara Shanghai can host corporate meetings, conferences, forums, training sessions, seminars, product launches, annual dinners, galas, banquets, receptions and social celebrations, from intimate executive meetings to larger events of up to 550 guests.What meeting and event spaces are available?
Amara Shanghai offers over 1,800 sqm of meeting and event space, including:- Grand Ballroom — 740 sqm, pillarless and located on Level 5, divisible into two ballrooms of 410 sqm and 330 sqm
- Grand Ballroom Foyer — 228 sqm pre-function area suitable for receptions, registrations and coffee breaks
- Eight function rooms — ranging from 28 to 118 sqm, with floor-to-ceiling windows and city views
- VIP Greeting Room — 37 sqm, located on Level 5
- Outdoor Lawn — 450 sqm, located on Level 7
What is the maximum capacity of the meeting and event spaces?
The Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 550 guests in theatre style or 380 guests for a banquet. Function rooms can accommodate up to 100 guests in theatre style, depending on the room selected, while the Outdoor Lawn can accommodate up to 100 guests.What room layouts and configurations are available?
Available layouts include theatre, classroom, banquet or round-table, island, U-shape and cabaret configurations. The Grand Ballroom can be used as one large event space or divided into two ballrooms for breakout sessions or parallel events.Is audiovisual equipment available?
Yes. The Grand Ballroom features a high-resolution LED screen, lighting and sound systems, while the function rooms are equipped with projectors and audiovisual facilities. Use of the LED screen and certain additional equipment may incur additional charges. Please discuss your technical requirements with our Events team in advance.Is Wi-Fi available in the meeting and event spaces?
Yes. Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the meeting and event venues, guest rooms and public areas.Are meeting and event packages available?
