What wedding venues are available?
Amara Signature Shanghai offers a selection of indoor and outdoor wedding venues:
- Grand Ballroom — a pillarless ballroom with a 7.5-metre ceiling and crystal chandeliers, accommodating up to 35 round tables.
- Ballroom 1 & 2 — ideal for smaller weddings and receptions.
- Outdoor Lawn — a 450 sqm rooftop lawn on Level 7, suitable for wedding ceremonies.
- Grand Ballroom Foyer — suitable for pre-dinner cocktails and guest receptions.
What is the maximum capacity for a wedding?
The Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 35 round tables of 10 guests, or approximately 350 guests for a wedding banquet. The hotel can host weddings ranging from intimate celebrations of 20 guests to larger celebrations of up to 350 guests.
Are indoor and outdoor wedding venues available?
Yes. Indoor celebrations can be held in the Grand Ballroom, while outdoor ceremonies can be hosted on our 450 sqm rooftop lawn, weather permitting.
Are wedding packages available?
Yes. Amara Signature Shanghai offers a selection of wedding packages designed for different celebration styles and guest numbers. Packages may include venue use, curated menus, selected beverages, décor and other wedding privileges. Our Wedding team can also assist in tailoring your celebration to your requirements. What is included in the wedding packages?
Inclusions vary by package and may include venue use, curated Chinese banquet menus, selected beverages, décor and lighting, LED screen usage, and a bridal suite stay with bridal room styling for the couple.
Can we arrange a wedding ceremony at the hotel?
Yes. Wedding ceremonies can be held in the Grand Ballroom or on the outdoor lawn, with ceremony styling and coordination available through our Wedding team.
Does the hotel provide wedding catering?
Yes. Our in-house chefs can prepare Chinese banquet, Thai and international wedding menus.
Can wedding menus be customised?
Yes. Wedding menus can be customised based on your preferences, budget and guest requirements.
Can special dietary requirements be accommodated?
Yes. Vegetarian, allergy-related and other dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice. Please inform our Wedding team of any dietary requirements when planning your menu.
Can we bring our own wedding vendors?
Yes. External vendors, including photographers, videographers and bands, are generally permitted, subject to hotel approval and coordination with our Wedding team.
Can we bring our own decorations or florist?
Yes, subject to prior approval. Alternatively, our Wedding team can assist with décor and floral arrangements.
Can we bring our own alcoholic beverages?
Yes. Guests may bring their own wine and liquor. Corkage fees apply, and details are available upon request.
Is audiovisual equipment available for weddings?
Yes. Audiovisual facilities, including lighting and sound systems, are available. LED screens are also available for an additional charge. Please discuss your audiovisual requirements with our Wedding team in advance.
Is a bridal room or changing room available?
Yes. A bridal room is conveniently located on Level 5, the same floor as the Grand Ballroom.
Are accommodation rates available for the wedding couple and guests?
Yes. Wedding packages include an overnight bridal room stay, and preferential accommodation rates are available for wedding guests. Amara Signature Shanghai has 343 rooms and suites.
Is parking available for wedding guests?
Yes. Underground parking is available at the hotel.
Can we arrange a wedding site inspection?
Yes. Site inspections can be arranged with our Wedding team. We recommend making an appointment in advance to ensure the venue and team are available.
